Visit Brick Bay Winery and Sculpture Park with K A Servian!

Approximately an hour north of Auckland, Brick Bay Winery and Sculpture Park is a one of our favourite places to visit on a sunny day.

Located on the site of the small 1840s settlement of Brick Bay which was also the site of a colonial brick works, the land has been extensively remodelled with several small lakes and acres of regenerated native bush now covering the estate.

For us, Brick Bay has everything we enjoy: Food wine, nature and art.

The first building you see when you arrive is the impressive Glass House restaurant.   The entirely glazed building sits right over one of the lakes. We’ve found it pays to book for lunch in the restaurant as its always busy.

Our favourite routine is to arrive around ten, walk the sculpture trail and then enjoy lunch.  The artworks on display are changed regularly so there is always something new to see. The variety is endless from traditional to contemporary and there’s even an audible work set in amongst native bush.

Brick Bay is located in an area rich in beaches, vineyards and regional parks so there’s always lots to do.
