Viva Las Vegas and Adele with Susan Carlisle

I recently made a trip to Las Vegas. It wasn’t to gamble but to see the singer, Adele, in concert at Caesars Palace.

Adele was amazing. She has a beautiful voice and put on an amazing show in an intimate venue.

Before the show, I also visited the Lady Diana traveling exhibit with some of her dresses being shown. I enjoyed it. Much of the history I recognized but that didn’t mean I didn’t appreciate living my young adulthood once more.

My husband and I went to an Elvis retro show as well. It was excellent. I’m a huge Elvis fan so I knew all the songs and the movies they were sung in. I think I impressed my husband with my knowledge. Afterward I told the man preforming that he had done a wonderful job because I had seen Elvis twice in concert. He became emotional at the compliment.

One day for brunch we went to the Paris Hotel. Our meal was served in the Eiffel Tower. The food was delicious, and I highly recommend a seat near the window.

It was an exciting trip to the bright lights and big city but seeing Adele, or more like hearing Adele sing was the icing on the trip. I would do it again, if given half a chance.

  19. My Dearest Stranger,

In the vast expanse of this bustling world, our paths have crossed, if only for a fleeting moment. Yet, in that brief encounter, a spark ignited—a gentle warmth that lingers within me.

Your smile, like the sun breaking through storm clouds, has brightened my day in ways words struggle to convey. Your kindness, a beacon of hope in a sea of uncertainties, has touched a chord deep within my soul.

Though our meeting was brief and our futures unknown, I find myself replaying our conversation, savoring the melody of your laughter, and cherishing the genuine connection we shared. It is a beautiful reminder that amidst life's chaos, there exists a beauty in human connection that transcends time and space.

If fate permits, may our paths cross again, weaving our stories together in the tapestry of life. Until then, know that you have left an indelible mark on my heart—a reminder of the simple joys and the profound beauty that love, in its myriad forms, can bring.

With heartfelt admiration and a hope for serendipitous reunions,

    OLEKSANDR J
