It was a dream come true for me when we traveled to Egypt a few weeks ago. I had read so much about Egypt and the Pyramids and the ancient civilization.
I had to sit and catch my breath when I came upon the great pyramid.
Can you imagine the size of these single stones from which it is made?
Riding camels around the Pyramids.
There were more Pyramids at Sakkara.
From Cairo we took flight to Aswan and then early next morning, a three hour drive to Abu Simbel Temple. We left early to catch the first rays of the sun on the huge Ramses carvings.
Next day we visited Luxor and here again we went for early morning hot air balloon rides.
We visited Queen Hatshepsut's mortuary temple. And the valley of Kings where all the kings had their tombs.
Inside the tombs of the Kings at the Valley of the Kings.
And a glimpse of the red sea.
The red sea.
There were many more temples we visited in Luxor. And we saw so many things all over Egypt. Our guide was a qualified Egyptologist. So he was full of knowledge and information.
Overall, all of us had a great time. I went with my husband and daughter. My sister in law traveled from USA. In the tour group there were ten people altogether. We met these six other people from all over the world and made friends.
