Travel to Egypt with Nas Dean

It was a dream come true for me when we traveled to Egypt a few weeks ago. I had read so much about Egypt and the Pyramids and the ancient civilization.

I had to sit and catch my breath when I came upon the great pyramid.

Can you imagine the size of these single stones from which it is made?

Riding camels around the Pyramids.

Then there was the first visit to the Sphinx.

There were more Pyramids at Sakkara.

From Cairo we took flight to Aswan and then early next morning, a three hour drive to Abu Simbel Temple. We left early to catch the first rays of the sun on the huge Ramses carvings.

Next day we visited Luxor and here again we went for early morning hot air balloon rides.

We visited Queen Hatshepsut's mortuary temple.  And the valley of Kings where all the kings had their tombs.

Inside the tombs of the Kings at the Valley of the Kings.

And a glimpse of the red sea.

The red sea.

There were many more temples we visited in Luxor. And we saw so many things all over Egypt. Our guide was a qualified Egyptologist. So he was full of knowledge and information.

Overall, all of us had a great time. I went with my husband and daughter. My sister in law traveled from USA. In the tour group there were ten people altogether. We met these six other people from all over the world and made friends.

Nas is a voracious reader. She reads most genres and grew up on mystery, thrillers and romance. Apart from reading, she likes travelling, gardening, music, and meeting people. She has travelled through the United States, Europe and parts of Asia. As well as Australia and New Zealand. Despite the pandemic, she did a tour of USA in January 2022 and went to visit the Grand Canyon as it has always been her dream to visit.

She has been in the publishing industry since 2010—editing and working with authors. As an editor, she makes constructive suggestions without interfering with the overall conception of your writing voice. Because as a reader, she knows what hooks a reader in from the first chapter, so she can help find inconsistencies and fix the errors, making the story flow better.

While editing, she has also been teaching writers the mechanics of writing and how to get a flawless manuscript. The published manuscript is a reflection of her work so she aims it to be of the highest quality possible.

  4. Egypt... how wonderful! I envy your nerve in taking that balloon ride, too. I couldn't do it. I'm horribly afraid of heights.
